National Math and Science Initiative Top Ten Teachers

A+ College Ready hosted a two-day training event for Advanced Placement teachers, Oct. 19 and 20 at Jefferson State Community College.  In attendance were 125 AP English teachers and 100 math teachers.  Highly accomplished AP teachers were recognized for their success relative to their peers.  Outstanding science teachers were also recognized earlier this fall in a two- day training session held at Samford University. See below for a list of teachers recognized.

Top Ten List:  The following teachers were on the National Math and Science Initiative’s top ten list, which means that they are eligible to be nominated for Alabama Teacher of the Year.    One “Teacher of the Year “will be selected from each discipline by the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) early next year.  NMSI honors outstanding teachers from the AP Training and Incentive Program for helping expand the number of public school students taking and succeeding in AP math, science and English classes.
