Lead Teachers:
English:
Mary E. Hudson has been teaching at Lee High School for the past seven years and has been involved in AP English for the past six years. She taught AP English Language and Composition for three years, has been teaching AP English Literature and Composition for three years and is a Creative Writing Magnet Instructor. Ms. Hudson also has been involved in professional writing activities for 20 years and has served as a technical writer for USBI, a NASA contractor. In 2007, she wrote the script for the Auburn-based documentary on teenage abusive relationships which was filmed in Huntsville. She holds a BA in French and English from the University of Alabama and a Masters in Education from Alabama A&M University.
Math:
Scott Sharp has taught for 13 years at Huntsville High School. During that time, he has taught AP Calculus for the last 10 years. He graduated from Athens State in secondary education / mathematics and graduated with a Masters degree in secondary education / mathematics from Alabama A&M University.
Science:
Judy Young Kirk has taught at Butler, Lee, and Huntsville High Schools and has served as the Science Curriculum specialist for Hunstville City Schools for five years. She helped develop and implement a National Science Foundation Grant for elementary and middle schools in Madison County and Hunstville City. She was twice named PTSA teacher of the year for Huntsville City Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science from Memphis State University and a Masters of Science from Alabama A&M University.
